A Day Out In York.

So yesterday, I went on a bit of a day trip to York, which is the capital city of Yorkshire, or at least it would be if Sheffield wasn’t  so awesome.

Anyway, the reason we were going to York was to help Joanne move into her new uni digs. I pretty much bummed a ride with my mother, Dave and Rario. The idea was to spend a day in York with Rario because we never get chance to hang out and actually do something interesting. Normally it is just hanging out in my front room playing street fighter or something equally mundane.

So on the way there we had a good laugh at my mum and dave getting lost by trying to follow the Ozzy Osborne voice to get to York. Me and Rario had a good laugh adding new phrases to the directions such as “At the next roundabout, try fucking listening” or “At the next exit, get out and let Dave fucking drive.” Eventually, we got dropped off in york out side the city walls and decided to walk along the wall into town.

After this we made it into town, looked round all the weird shops including a pretty rad comic shop. We also stumbled on the York food festival in the centre of town and Rario enjoyed an ostrich burger like so…

The day pretty much followed the same pattern from then on. My mum did buy me some cool chinese paper lanters and some cool bracelets from an awesome chinese shop and we did meet this cool purple man. He painted our mohawks and was a really nice guy.

Anyway that was my day in York. Was really fun and I wanna do something random again soon!
